What should I do to prepare for a carpet or tile cleaning?
Preparing for a cleaning is a simple process and typically does not require much work on your part.
* Any small items or pieces of furniture you would like moved should be relocated (let us know if you would like us to assist with moving furniture).
* Vacuum or sweep up any large debris on the carpet or hard flooring.
* Look out for any spots or damaged areas that you think we should be aware of.
How long will it take for my furniture or flooring to dry?
Drying time is usually between 4 and 8 hours for steam cleaning and depends on a number of factors. To speed drying, we recommend the following:
* Keep air moving with heating or air conditioning.
* Keep fans on, if possible.
* Avoid using the area or putting furniture or other items back until drying is complete.
Will all the spots in my carpet come out with a cleaning?
The cleaning of spots and stains in carpet can vary dramatically. We cannot guarantee every stain will come out. Some things to keep in mind are the following:
- Over the counter cleaning chemicals can cause stains to set if used on the wrong stains.
- The carpet type, fiber type, and backing can affect success.
- The length of time the stain has remained can play a role in how successful removal is.
- It is important to remember the type of stain if you can. Makeup vs. drinks vs. motor oil vs. food can make a huge difference in success.
How long does a typical cleaning take?
The time taken for a cleaning can vary dramatically. Usually, for 2 rooms and a hall, the time would be around 45 minutes to 1 hour. With that being said, additional services or rooms would add to the time. The amount of the soil on the carpet and the types of stains present can also add time to the process.
How often should I have my carpet or tile professionally cleaned?
- Carpets should be cleaned every 6 months to 1 year.
- Tile and grout should be cleaned every 6 months to 1 year, depending on use.
- High-traffic areas may require additional cleanings and may be done every 3-4 months.
How often should I have my upholstery cleaned?
Upholstery should be cleaned every 4 to 6 months. Most manufacturers will have the time frame for professional cleanings on the fabric label, usually located on the back or underside of the furniture.
What information do you need to give me a quote?
When calling for a quote or requesting one online, the following information would help assist us in accuracy:
- Do you live in a house or apartment? If apartment, what floor and what is the parking situation like?
- How dirty is the carpet, generally? Is it general soiling in traffic areas or something more?

- Are there any particular concerns you have about certain spots that need to be addressed?
